FAQ
-
Do you have experience with students with ADHD/ASD/Learning Disabilities?
Of course! I’ve taught all types of students and every student has their own unique abilities and difficulties.
My background in Neuroscience helps me approach these situations differently than most other educators. -
What is your approach?
My lessons and approach are tailored to each specific students needs and goals.
No two students learn the same and “cookie cutter” teaching techniques lack the engagement to keep students motivated and focused.Every lesson is unique and adapted as needs and goals are adjusted.

What experience do you have?
I taught my peers informally all throughout my college career because I found it engaging and interesting.
At UCSD, I was a TA for Genetics and mentored under a Biological teaching researcher who influenced my approach to education/learning to become more metacognitive and student centered.
I’ve taught hundreds of students from various age groups and backgrounds over the last decade. Everything from elementary school up to high level college math and chemistry. -
How many meetings/lessons a week will my child need?
This varies depending on the situation/context/objectives.
Together we can work out a plan that works for everyone and can lead to continual growth and success! -
Do you have availability ? What is your schedule like?
Schedule varies month to month and week to week.
Some students are on a set schedule and others are on a “as needed” basis.
There’s always more availability near the beginning of a semester, but I always try to fit in any new students at least for a consultation/advice.
The best way to set up a meeting is to contact me today! -
What are some of your interests/hobbies?
Besides learning/teaching I have several other interests.
I like creative projects like photography, art, and music.
I love cooking (and eating).
I enjoy solo traveling for extended periods of time in foreign countries.
I’m always picking up new interests and switching between them.
