Arthur has been an incredible part of our family's educational journey for many years, tutoring all three of our children from middle school through high school in math, science, chemistry, biology, calculus, and more. As our youngest graduated from high school this year, we realized just how much of their success was shaped by Arthur's guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support.

What makes Arthur truly exceptional is his ability to connect with each child as an individual. All three of our kids have very different personalities, learning styles, and strengths, and he instinctively knew how to adapt his teaching to each one. He found creative ways to help them not only understand difficult concepts but actually retain the information. He was especially gifted at working with ADHD and other learning challenges, always finding strategies that built confidence and helped each child succeed.

Arthur became so much more than a tutor, he became like family. We truly don't know where our kids would be without him. Today, all three are thriving at outstanding universities, and we credit so much of their academic success and confidence to his years of dedication. If you're looking for the very best tutor, I cannot recommend Arthur highly enough.

Our children have been tutoring with Smart Mentor Prep since middle school and throughout high school. We have utilized services on and off throughout the years and usually book longer sessions when needed, specially to prep for finals. His expertise in Math, Science and English really helped my children find success in their academics. Art is really mindful and supportive when working with neurodivergent students and has helped my children learn organizational / executive functioning skills to help keep up with coursework and studying. Which is really important for me.

Art is easy to talk to and helps us understand what our kids are learning. He really dedicates the time to study the coursework to help your child, he stays up to date on curriculum the school district is using, which is nice because my kids have transitioned to 3 different counties / school districts. We have consulted Art MANY times throughout grade school, middle school and high school to create IEP goals that make sense for my kids, and find appropriate accommodations. For reference my children have IEP’s and one had a 504 plan.

For services and scheduling, we have always been able to book directly through our tutor and that is convenient. I usually try to book out at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure we can coordinate schedules and sessions together, but I know other families have set schedules and long term ongoing tutoring. We have also done summer enrichment sessions to help prepare for the next grade. Overall it’s been really helpful, we have one kiddo who’s graduated and Art helped guide us for the college transition. Our other children are still in grade school. We look forward to using Art and his team moving forward.

“I started working with Arthur in 7th grade when I was significantly behind in math, and by 8th grade I wasn't just caught up, I actually looked forward to math class.”

I started working with Arthur in 7th grade when I was significantly behind in math, and by 8th grade I wasn't just caught up, I actually looked forward to math class. Arthur has a unique ability to explain concepts in a way that actually clicks, instead of just repeating class lectures and the textbook. I went from dreading math to understanding it at a level I never thought I could reach.

Arthur has been my tutor since the sixth grade, and I’m now a senior in college. He has been an incredible part of my educational journey and has supported me every step of the way.

As someone with a learning disability, I’ve faced challenges throughout school, but Arthur has always found ways to explain difficult math concepts in a way that made sense to me. He never gave up on me and was always patient, encouraging, and willing to adapt his teaching to fit how I learn best.

Even today, I still reach out to him whenever I need help. He has been so much more than a tutor—he has been a mentor, a constant source of support, and someone who truly believes in me. I’m incredibly grateful for everything he has done. Arthur isn’t just my tutor he is family.
